Spanish For Kids
Why should we have our children learn a foreign language?
Because...
- They are able to imitate and reproduce unfamiliar sounds more readily than adults.
- The younger a person begins studying a foreign language, the better their
pronunciation will be.
- They are less inhibited.
- They enjoy playing with words and are willing to experiment making strange sounds.
- They will be more accepting, as young people growing up, of cultural differences.
At
Creative Language Center, we take advantage of this
optimal period of learning in children's lives by slowly, and in a
natural way, introducing the Spanish language through age-
related activities such as: games, crafts, story-telling, songs.
Kids will learn Spanish while
being engaged in fun
activities.
Our classes are an ideal ratio of 3 to 6 children
per teacher, to
ensure every kid gets the necessary attention and guidance
in the different activities in which they will be participating.
All of the activities will be
presented completely in Spanish by a native speaking instructor with experience working with kids.

Although there is a progressive sequence in the activities we do each class, and
an educational purpose behind them, there are no set levels of proficiency.Students will learn related vocabulary (verbs, adjectives, expressions) on basic
topics, such as family, home, animals, nature, sports, etc., that will be
covered over a period of time. These topics
will be reviewed and incorporated into different other activities.
Whenever a new topic is introduced, parents will receive a list of vocabulary
and useful expressions your child will be learning, as well as suggested
activities for parents to do with their children
to help them with their language studies.
Please bear in mind that in order to learn a new language successfully a child
must attend classes consistently. It is very important that the child's parents
make this
commitment along with the
child.
